Here are some of our current projects in Haiti.

Foyer Notre Dame De Lourdes Orphanage,

We love this orphanage and have been involved with them for the past 5 years.  They are tremendous stewards of every resource they have.  It is a joy to see what God has done through partners and the leadership of Maison Notre Dame de Lourdes.  After 18 years of tireless work, Maud Laurent was finally able to move her 103 children into a brand new location.  Previously, she and the children lived in 4 small rooms spread over 2 houses.  The new orphanage has 5 dedicated classrooms, a dining hall and assembly room, a dorm with restrooms for the girls and a dorm with restrooms for the boys.  The children have all new mattresses and beds as well as a fully functioning water purification system operated by solar power.  

While there is still a lot to do to finish the facility, they have 2 significant needs:  1. School teacher salaries. Two at $200 and one at $100. 2. Tiles to complete the library she has started for her children.

FEDH orphanage is lead by a woman named Madame Joyce. We were able to meet her and see this instant love she has for her children. Her orphanage was extremely clean, however, it is very small and they have a huge need for relocating. More than that, she has 16 children who are unable to go to school due to lack of funds. It costs $110 a year to send a child to school. These are currently the two largest needs they are facing.
